PARTICIPATION STATEMENT Young people sitting on our Executive Committee Listening to and working with young people aged 5-25 Consultation events using imaginative ideas to engage young people Youth Achievement Awards Scheme Arts Awards Support minority young people and youth projects i.e. LGBT youth group, Young Asylum Seekers Training of voluntary youth workers Support young people to run their own projects. Supporting a youth committee running the mobile skate park Young people running an annual Youth Showcase Rural “Chat Bash”. Supporting young people in rural areas to have a voice within their community Working with the wider community and adult committees i.e. Parish Councils to allow young peoples voice to be heard. Bridging the gap between them. We specialise in activities such as drama, residentials, team building, music workshops, training and social issues. Taster sessions in arts, drama skills and games. Caraline, the eating disorder charity, commissioned us to develop a piece of drama around this issue. This was developed by young people for young people and taken into various Schools in Bedfordshire. Childrens Fund in Bedfordshire funded a project for a residential for siblings of the terminally ill young people at Keech Cottage.. Three drama workshops were also funded consisting of art as well as drama, together with a DJ Mixing Workshop for the “Rocking Monday” Group made up of 16+ year olds attending Keech Hospice.
